Research: My favorite student music video


The reason I chose this video as my favorite is because I believe that although its fairly simple, it is cleverly filmed and edited. The idea of using a fisheye lens is not something often used in student videos, and the different kinds of shots come well together. I think they covered all the shots we studied in As very well too. 



I like the idea this group had of using the fisheye lens on the camera. The first music video to be shot with the fisheye lens was the 'Shake Your Rump' song by Beastie Boys in 1989. Since then a few other artists have done their music videos like this, however it is not often seen that student music videos use fisheye lens, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this one has. 
I really like the video, I think it was cleverly done with the inclusion of random people they found being added into the video when the lyrics '...the world is yours...' are playing. The moving shots of the city also go well with the video.
