What to do and what not to do!

Do's

- Use a CLEAR font.

- Use APPROPRIATE sizes for:

1. Images

2. Font

- Use clear photos that are in FOCUS.

- Use right shape photos.

- Use a layout that follows the rules of thirds for composition.

- Use appropriate type face that follows genre conventions and a house style.

                                                      - Font must follow genre conventions and be clear from a distance.

                                                      - Follow conventions of the 3 colour rule. Use appropriate colour for                                                                                   images, font and background.

                                                      - Use appropriate industry logos and conventions, properly positioned:

*Barcode.

*Date

* Copyright

* Titles

* Artist name

Dont's

- Stretch out images, this will make them out of FOCUS.

- Use layer styles.

- Use unnecessary effects. Any effects used must suit the genre.

- Place text across the artists face.

- Use a font simply because 'you like it'.

- Feel you need a separate photo on every panel - be creative!
