RESEARCH: Digipak research

MUMFORD AND SONS
This group are quite quirky and being their debut album they didn't follow the rule of thirds and making them central. However for indie bands i personally don't think this rules applies because people don't buy their album because of what they look like, the by it because of the music and often people don't know what the band members look like because that is not important to them. The theme follows to the back of the album and the font is the same throughout.

ELLIE GOULDING
Ellie Goulding is our main source of inspiration, not only for our song but also for our video, and now for my digipak. I really like the profile pose she has here and is something i am thinking of doing, except mine will be facing the right and her hair will be normal. Her theme of lights is so visible on all her singles and albums, and her work is proof that less is more and the rule of thirds is applied here.

AMY WINEHOUSE
This simple album brilliantly sticks to the theme of black which is visible on the back. I really like how her name is tilted and that the song listing is tilted too. This is a perfect example of the rule of thirds as she is in the centre of the album.
