During our first lesson after the music video deadline we began looking at what ancillary products we will be producing and what they constitute of.
We began looking at digipaks and their purpose. A digipak is similar to a CD but is a more 'personal' product with added features. It is a folded 4, 6 or 8 panel product which usually has either photographs, lyrics, thank you's, or anything that the artist may feel they want to include to make the product more personal. It is something that people would be prepared to pay that like bit more for the personal touch or the extra features (as you would for a DVD with extras).
The aim of an advert, like a music video is to promote the artist. The advert usually contains a photo of the artist or the front of the digipak/album, the release date, where you can purchase the single/album, reviews, tour dates and venues, and industry logo.
